"LAA COLUMB KILLEY" means Saint COLUMBA'S DAY

It was customary that the service in the Church (Arbory Church being dedicated to St. Columba) should be followed by public games and rejoicings.

For 100 years Arbory have held a fair called Laa Columb Killey on the Thursday nearest the anniversary of the date St Columba died.

Entry to the festival is £2 which includes a copy of the programme. Admission to the Tea Tent is £5 for adults and £2 for children, and Tea Tent tickets can be bought beforehand at the entrance gate.
